Agios Ioannis

Agios Ioannis is built on the main road that leads to some of the most famous beaches of the island, Ai Gordis, Glyfada and Ermones. It is only 7 kilometers away from the city of Corfu. It is a tranquil village with a beautiful square. The old mansion of Gonemis dominates there which today operates as a hotel and there you will also find the picturesque tavern of Kostas which has been operating for more than 100 years.

Next to the main square of Agios Ioannis and in a verdant garden of an area of 5 acres, is situated the «Art Gallery G.Korakianitis» which has been operating since 1994. It is the personal atelier of the Corfiot painter but, also the place where, exhibitions of paintings and sculptures by various artists are hosted.

In Agios Ioannis you can also visit the distillery workshop in order to see how the Corfu koum-kouat  is produced. The sight of the village is the huge waterpark, with its impressive water slides and the activities in its dozens of pools.
