Emplisi

The most popular beach of Erissos is Emplisi. A bay with a closed shape, white pebbles and turquoise waters, lush green trees which reach to the sea, a magical landscape…

Although Emplisi is pebbly, its sea’s bottom is sandy and gives to the water a blue-green color, which reflects the nature around. Rocks with almost flat surface resemble to stone tablets that are at the sides and give you the ability to spread also there your towel and personal things and enjoy sunbathing.

Above the beach, there is a canteen that offers the essentials, while near to Emplisi there are taverns and restaurants with traditional cuisine from Kefalonia – do not miss to try the meat pie from Kefalonia after diving! Otherwise, the beach is unorganized, without sunshades and sun beds and should take care of yourself for what you need. In a specially designed area, next to Emplisi, you can camp with your caravan – is one of the few places in Kefalonia that happens this.

The beach is from the village Germenata one km and from Fiscardo just one and a half. In Emplisi, reaches asphalted road until before the pebbles. Relatively close, you will also find the beaches Foki and Dafnoudi.
