Kakorevma

Kakorevma is a village of the municipality of Messini, located at an altitude of about 300 meters. It is 38 kilometers away from the city of Kalamata and just three km away from Chranoi and its beach.

Υou will find two temples in the settlement of Kakorevma. One is dedicated to Saint Vasileios in rhythm of simple basilica, built in 1894 and the second one dedicated to Saint Dimitrios is smaller, built during the Ottoman rule and serves the needs of the cemetery of the village.

There are areas of olive trees around Kakorevma, as the residents are mainly occupied with agricultural crops and especially the cultivation of olives. The village includes the small Gorge of Bastardis that crosses the area Klima going down to the sea.

The gorge is crossed by waters from the source Kanelos, which supplies Kakorevma with drinking water.

The gorge near Kakorevma is ideal for hiking and the entrance for walkers is at the point where the gorge flows into the sea. You will find information signs in the nearby village of Chranoi.
