Militsa

Militsa along with the adjacent, smaller settlement of Eastern Militsa is a village which belongs to the municipality of Messini and is 52 km away from the city of Kalamata. About 250 residents live there and are mainly occupied with the cultivation of olives.

One of the most picturesque villages of Messinia, Militsa is characterized by its outstanding natural beauty, while its small houses are built at an altitude of 300 meters.

Militsa is 22 km away from Koroni and just 12 km away from cosmopolitan Foinikounda that for years now it has become one of the major tourist resorts of the region along with Stoupa in Messinian Mani.

Militsa is near the village of Chranoi and its beach, which is one of the most beautiful of Messinia. It is a nice place for rest and pleasure,  while it is a wonderful shetler for calmness and relaxation.

Residents of Militsa hold the character of their picturesque village by constantly preserving old houses, which contributes to the beauty of their architecture.
