The bust of Stylianos Kleidis depicts this hero as a serious, moustached man with three weapons on his belt and wearing a crucifix on his neck. The sculpture is placed on a marble base.
Stylianos Kleidis was a Cretan revolutionist who was born in the villagein 1870. He was a founder of the voluntary body of Cretans and participated in the Macedonian Conflict, after he went to Metsovo releasing it from the Ottoman troops. He died in 1912 on the hill “Profitis Ilias” to the north of Metsovo.
