Beach of Phoenix

Following Posidonia, in the west of Syros, approximately one kilometer is the beach of the Phoenix, in front of the homonymous settlement.

Sheltered from the northerly winds, the beach of the Phoenix is the second natural port of Syros after the Port of Ermoupoli and has organized marina with all the facilities to welcome yachts and boats of any kind.

In the Beach of Phoenix, the visitor can reach by all means (interurban bus, car, motorcycle, boat). For those who have their own car, the best route is by the road Syros – Galissa following the first southern branch immediately after the settlement Talanta.

In the beach of Phoenix you will find umbrellas and armirikia – almost to the coast – to be protected from the sun while games with water ensure the large concrete platform. The beach of the Phoenix will satisfy lovers of underwater fishing as it is an excellent fishing ground. Your visit is worth to complete with a meal in one of the taverns situated literally on the beach.

However, if you follow the road after the Marina of the Beach of Phoenix will lead you, after about 1.5 miles to Kokkina Beach.
