Argolis – Beaches
The beaches in Argolida are not lacking in beauty when compared to the infamous beaches of the Greek Islands!
Some of Argolida’s Beaches have been rewarded with the Blue Flag award and they steal the spotlight from the cosmopolitan coast of the Aegean. Some of them are the Porto Cheli Beach, Chinitsas beach, Psili Ammos and Karathona. Others became famous due to hidden treasures that lied under their crystal clear waters. For example at the depths of Irion Beach, there have been discovered traces of the ancient civilization of Gliati.
The beach of Nea Kiou is a beach in Argolida that is said to have healing waters. It is also a paradise for surfers. The beach of Plakas Drepanou is characterized by a rear geophysical phenomenon. Arvanitia beach is a perfect option for the habitats of Nafplio, since it is located with the town.
Some beaches in Argolida are rocky, like those of Mpisti, others are hard to reach, such as Polemarxa and others are completely free from wind and calm, such as Vivario…
Large or small, pebbled or sandy, organized or free, most of the beaches in Argolida have shores that resemble the beautiful pattern of the lace and some of the shores are 2 to 3 kilometers long. Most of the beaches are in coves, thus providing enough safety for young children. The beaches are easily accessed, they provide free parking space and there is a number of hotels and accommodation units nearby.
The beaches of Kosta and Agios Aimilianos are some of the busiest throughout the area, whereas Kondyli is considered by most the best Beach in Argolida.
