Kefalonia - Hospitals - Health Centers

Two major hospitals, a health center and several regional clinics comprise the body of public health in Kefalonia. The General Hospital of Kefalonia is in Argostoli and serves dozens of patients daily. The second hospital, Mantzavinatio, is located in Lixouri. A Health Center operates in Sami, while the regional clinics in 12 villages of Kefalonia care for the diagnosis and treatment of residents and visitors of the island. In Kefalonia operates also the Center of Addiction and Substance Abuse Prevention "Apoplous (Departure)".
