Tzannatos
In 1904, the goldsmith Spyros Tzannatos opened his first shop in Argostoli in Kefalonia. He created its own handmade jewelry for the market needs, in his own workshop. At the same time Tzannatos Jewellery started to collaborate with Swiss watchmaking houses and silversmith workshops of Europe to offer to its elite clientele quality products.
After a while he gives the business to his two sons, Evagelos and Stelios, being aiders at the beginning and then active members of the family business.
After the devastating earthquake of 1953, the two brothers opened separate stores. Evangelos after a few months moved to Athens where he installs his own workshop and office of wholesale jewelry in the center of Athens at Praxitelous street having a successful business until the end of 1980. Stelios stays on the island starting only with the name Tzannatos Jewellery and the difficulties of rebuilding the shop at Lithostroto street where it still exists.
Theodoros Tzannatos continues the long tradition since 1984 after studies in the jewelry sector, specializing on design and manufacture of handmade jewelry and silverware at the State Institute of Art in Florence. Having an experience of over 30 years he improves and enriches its collections and services. In 2002 the store was fully renovated offering the environment but also the special place that each product requires to be correctly displayed.
The Tzannatos Jewellery shop exclusively cooperates with famous foreign firms on the island of Kefalonia as Rolex, Omega, Longines, Tag Heuer, Mont Blanc etc. Its modern workshop covers the customers’ needs offering jewelry decorated with gemstones in classic and modern lines.
Having clients from Greece and abroad, it also continues to provide for many years a rich collection of silver gifts, museum replicas, silver icons and personal gift items.
