Charavgi

Charavgi is a small village that belongs to the municipality of Messini and is 32 km away from the city of Kalamata. It is situated among the trees, while bright red tiles of house roofs create a beautiful picture in the village.

Charavgi is the closest village to Polylimnio, one of the unique natural attractions of Messinia. It is a green paradise, filled with small lakes and running water that falls from high, just a half kilometer away from the village.

You can go from Charavgi to Polylimnio either on foot or by car until the parking area.

There is also the option to reach to Polylimnio from Charavgi by crossing the Gorge of Polylimnio, which although is quite passable, it requires special equipment and specialized escort of hikers and mountaineers.

Access to Charavgi is easy as it is located between Pylos and Messini.
