Therma

Therma is a settlement of Samothrace, located in the northeastern part of the island. The road leading to the village starts from Kamariotissa, Samothraki’s port, the distance is 14 km and it passes through Paleopoli  and Kariotes . The village has about 70 inhabitants and is also known by the name Loutra, as here lie the Hot Springs of Samothrace .
Built among the plane trees and flowing waters at the foot of the great mountain of Samothrace, mountain Saos , Therma is one of the tourist centers of the island. From here begins the ascent on Fegari, the top of Saos, the hike Fonias – Klidosi  on the bank of the island’s most famous stream, and within walking distance are the most popular vathres  of Samothrace.
In Therma you will also find the municipal campsite of Samothrace, with two sites, one organized and one free.
At the port of Therma there is a marina for private vessels, while the village has taverns, tourist shops, a cafe and of course hotels and apartments to rent.
