Azolimnos

Azolimnos is the closest coastal settlement in the capital of Syros, Ermoupoli, and five kilometers to the southeast. It is one of the most tourist villages of Syros, exactly because of its proximity to the capital attracts many vacationers, while it has about 700 residents.

In Azolimnos, one can find numerous tourist accommodations, while along the beach of the village there are restaurants and taverns. You will still find all tourist services provided for guests’ convenience.

St. Frangkiskos and Analipsi are the two main churches in the region and are catholic. In Analipsi of Azolimnos is also celebrated every year the Holy Trinity with a big festival.

Very close to Azolimnos, to the south is situated Fokiotrypes, one of the capes of Syros where is concentrated wealth of marine life. Seals, cormorants, gulls and mauropetrites are very likely to see in the small beach, which you can reach via a path in 15 minutes from the beach in Azolimnos.

Because of the eastern orientation, Azolimnos “see” to Tinos and Mykonos, and in the small island Aspro of Syros.
