Kalathas

Kalathas is a small coastal settlement in Akrotiri of Chania, 14 kilometers northeast of the city of Chania. It is a quiet resort with a beautiful sandy beach, while in the middle of the bay, there is a picturesque island.

The settlement of Kalathas was created substantially in recent years, as it is very close to the city and the access to it is easy. At the same time though, Kalathas is a seaside resort, ideal for relaxing holidays, away from the tourist centers of Chania that gather crowds and noise…!

The beautiful beach of Kalathas is organized. The water is shallow and ideal for children and there are facilities for water sports, such as the Beach volley. There are not few, however, those who prefer Kalathas for surfing and windsurfing, as the winds create the most suitable ripples.

Taverns, restaurants and cafes, the visitor can find to Kalathas, as also shops that serve various needs.
