Vatsa beach

Vatsa beach is situated just 15 minutes south of Lixouri, on the island of Kefalonia.

The bay where Vatsa beach is located is serene and secluded, part of the mostly rocky coastline of the Paliki peninsula.
Vatsa beach is 6 meters wide, covered with brownish sand. There you will also see the only navigable river of the island, which eventually merges into the sea and can easily be crossed by a pontoon bridge.
The opposite side of Vatsa beach has not undergone any intervention thus maintaining its wild natural beauty, and it is such a peaceful place facing the Ionian Sea, that some choose to have their wedding at the nearby church of Agios Nicholas.
On Vatsa beach you will find a genuine Kefalonian tavern, which, combined with the lighthouse of Geros Gompos, completes the setting for you to enjoy an unforgettable sunset.
Within walking distance from Vatsa beach is the beach Xi, and the popular beach Kounopetra.
