Adelianos Kampos (the valley of Adele)

The Adelianos Kampos in the prefecture of Rethymno is a new settlement located approximately 6 km east of the city of Rethymno, near the Adele village. It is, in fact, a “newly founded seaside village”.

Built on a large flat valley, which explains its name as Adelianos Κampos (the valley of Adele), the settlement was created because of the enormous tourist development of the region and has become one of the major resorts in Crete. The huge, organized and beautiful sandy beach of Adele, with crystal clear waters and sea turtles that come here to lay their eggs, attracts many tourists in summer and, in recent years, many large and small hotel units were constructed for all kinds of preferences. In the area a visitor can also find cafes, taverns, bars, car rentals, jewelry shops, doctor offices, pharmacies and supermarkets.

It is very easy to access Adelianos Κampos from the city of Rethymno, since there are frequent bus routes from the city center.
