Akoumia Beach

 The Akoumia beach lies 51 km to the south if Rethymno city and 12 approximately km from the homonym villlage  of Rethymno prefecture .

 The Akoumia beach is a large beach with sand and pebbles and open to the strong south winds, but it is great for fishing and snorkeling.

It is ideal for those, who seek serenity and seclusion since it is known mostly to locals. The Akoumia beach is semi-organized, so, take everything you need with you. It is rarely crowded, which makes it ideal for relaxing.
