Foteinari

Foteinari beach of Rethymno prefecture can be found approximately 37 km to the south of Rethymno city, between Plakias and the Souda beach.

Foteinari is a tiny beach divided into two small bays with a small rocky beach to separate them.

The windless Foteinari beach, which forms in the heart of a verdant bay, may be full of rocks and pebbles and totally unorganized, has, however very interesting waters suitable for fishing and snorkeling. You can find shade under the huge rocks and fresh water in the spring nearby.

There are rooms-to-let and taverns not far away from Foteinari.

Two rocky paths that start at the main road and run through small forests lead to the Foteinari beach and to Mikro Foteinari.

To the east from Foteinari, 2 km in length, the Paligkremnos beach and the Skinos beach are spreading. Skinos is the main beach of Plakias beach.
