Kolympistiri

The beach of Kolympistiri is located 60 km to the south of Rethymno city and 3 km to the west of Agia Galini in Rethymno prefecture.

At the point, where the valley meets the Libyan see, there is small windless bay, called Kolympistiri.

The Kolympistiri beach has pebbles and crystal-clear waters, making it ideal for exploration.

 The more western of the two beaches of Agios Georgios, Kolympistiri beach is considered more secluded.

This particular region does not have many tourist facilities; however to the east from Kolympistiri beach, there is the Lychnistis beach, where bathers can find umbrellas, a tavern and some room to rent.
