Ligkres
The Ligkres beach is located near the village Spili in Rethymno prefecture approximately 7 km from Kerame and 60 km from Rethymno city.
At the root of the mountain Siderota the Ligkres beach lies or else, Ligres, which is fact, is the northern part of the huge Akoumiani Gyalia.
The Ligkres beach is quite big and covered by sand and fine pebbles. It is not organized and is mostly preferred by those, who seek isolation and relaxation in its deep blue waters. For the same reason it is very popular among nudists.
On the left side of the Ligkres beach there is a small waterfall, hidden behind the rocks and dense vegetation, which offers fresh water all year round.
On the Ligkres beach there some taverns, where you can order fresh fish and local dishes and some rooms to rent are on the western side of the beach.
You can walk from Ligkres beach towards east, until you reach the Triopetra beach. If you choose northern path, you will find Katsouni. Continue your exploration and you will be rewarded with the Akoumia beach and the Agia Fotia, which is known only by few.
