Podare

The Podare beach lies almost 50 km to the south of Rethymno city and only 2 km from the Kerame  village of Rethymno prefecture .

The Podare beach is the first beach that a visitor finds to the southeast of the small harbour of Agia Foteini .

Podare is a sandy beach, rocky at some points along the shore, which makes it perfect for fishermen. This is a secluded beach with blue waters, where you will hardly meet many tourists since it is mostly known among the locals.

The Podare beach is not at all organized, however there some rooms-to-let nearby for your accommodation.

Next to Podare beach lies the Glima  beach.
