Anidri

Anidri is a village in the southwest of Chania, located 5 km from Paleochora. The route that leads to this small settlement offers spectacular view of the Libyan Sea, the valleys and the small canyons of the area and it constitutes an excellent proposition for tour.

Near the village there is the beach of Anidri and the homonymous gorge which reaches the coast of this beach. Another beach also located nearby the settlemene is the beach Gialiskari. Both beaches have fine pebbles, deep crystal clear waters and are well organized, with available umbrellas and sunbeds.

From the coast to Anidri, passes the European path E4 towards Sougia. Moreover, while looking towards the east you can see the cape Crocodile. The designation of the cape was inspired by its characteristic shape.

In the village of Anidri you can see some of the most interesting Byzantine churches. On a hill east of the village, there are still the ruins of water tanks and walls of an ancient tower, while there have been identified shells of ancient pottery.
