Klados Gorge

Klados Gorge is located in Sfakia and extends west of the Samaria Gorge and the peak of Mount Gigilos. It is one of the most inaccessible gorges with minimal markings and a high degree of risk in several of its parts, because of loose terrain and steep slopes.

The path that leads to Klados Gorge starts from a beautiful beach, Domata. Hiking through Klados Gorge and after following the path for a long time, you will reach a steep rocky slope with a length of 90 to 100 meters.

There, north of Linoseli region, is situated the second entrance of Klados Gorge, which is almost inaccessible. The climb requires experience and special climbing equipment as there are waterfalls that fall from a height up to 70 meters.

To cross the Klados Gorge, you must have the right equipment, knowledge and of course you must be fit to bear the exhaustion. Of course, you should have been informed in time of the weather conditions as, in case of rain, its narrow walls create landslides and torrents that reach up to 15 meters of depth.
