Gylisma

The beach Gylisma is located near Kampos village, 69 km southwest of Chania and at 29 km south of Kissamos. The locals call Gylisma beach Afratolakki.

The beach has large pebbles, but it is not the best choice for swimming, especially on days with strong winds from the west and it is usually preferred by the locals. On the other hand, Gylisma beach is a good solution for those who want to stay isolated.

On Gylisma, you will not find umbrellas and sun beds, but nearby are accommodation establishments and restaurants. Access is possible by car through a bumpy dirt road, which starts from the Kampos village. The distance is four and a half km and the lush green surrounding the beach will amaze you!

Two rivers, where water flows throughout the year, cross the Kampos village. The longest one is Mesochorianos River, while the second one is called Varthakonias.

The Mesochorianos crosses a small valley and the Kampos canyon.
