Perithia

The village of Perithia is situated in northern Corfu on the mountain Pantokratoras, at a distance of approximately 10 kilometers from Kassiopi. It was built by the inhabitants of the old village, from the so-called Palia Perithia, which even though is abandoned, today is very interesting because it is a unique architectural monument and you must visit it if you go to the northern part of the island. The contemporary Perithia is not very developed in tourism. It is worth visiting though on a jaunt to the Corfiot countryside and do not forget to relish the local, traditional meals in the picturesque taverns of the region.
