Divarata

The village Divarata is located in the heart of Pylaros. According to the 2011 census, Divarata has 156 residents. Apart from the beautiful green landscape, you can visit the local taverns and try all the specialties from Kefalonia, as well as delicious, fresh fish of the Ionian Sea.

Divarata is about 10 minutes by car from the picturesque village of Assos, and an additional 15 minutes from the popular and cosmopolitan fishing village of Fiskardo. If you like the nature, then you can walk along the traditional path “Myrtos – Divarata – St. Euphemi ” and enjoy one of the most picturesque landscapes of the region.

In Divarata, was born the writer Themos Potamianos, in 1895. He studied law. He was involved with journalism and literature and the greater part of his work is referred to children. He also wrote plays and participated in projects surveys (1917-1932). He used the username Realis. He died in Athens in 1973. To his honor, the cultural center of Pylaros, located in Diavarata bears his name.
