Vigli

From the small Vigli, in the northwestern part of Kefalonia, you will admire the incredible view of the sea. It belongs in Erissos, which until 2010 was one of the seven municipalities of the island. The village is built at an altitude of about 145 meters, but is strategically located and overlooks the whole area. It is testified by its name, as Vigli essentially means observatory.

Originally, Vigli was called Papalexata, from the first priest of the village, the priest Alexis, famous in the region for his work.

The village is situated in the green nature of Kefalonia and its various trees will offer shade in the whole village. If you feel walking in the green, the village’s beach, Agia Jerusalem is just 500 meters, a unique path to a beautiful trail!

Vigli is very close to cosmopolitan Fiskardo and the beautiful Assos, with its unique peninsula and the Venetian Castle.
