The village Aspro is a small village of Chania, built on a hill at an altitude of only 56 meters just above the tourist resort of Almyrida. It is 24 kilometers from the city of Chania and belongs to the municipality of Apokorona.

From Aspro, the view across Souda Bay to the beach of Almyrida is excellent. In Aspro, you will see many buildings of 18th century, while a part of them has been preserved and inhabited today.

Around the bay of Almyrida, there are beautiful villages, which are worth to visit. Some of them are Kera, Plaka, Kambia, Kokkino Chorio, Gavaloxori and Vamos.

In Kokino Chorio, where has filmed a part of the famous film “Zorbas” is situated the factory of Blown Glass, which attracts many visitors.
