Beach in Nopigia

In front of the seaside village, the beach in Nopigia is located six kilometers east of Kissamos and 30 km west of Chania and it is sandy with shallow waters and a complete infrastructure. The beach in Nopigia extends westward to Kissamos.

It is an ideal choice for a holiday in a tranquil environment. If you walk from the village to the beach in Nopigia to the east, the coast becomes rockier with pebbles.

At short distance from the beach in Nopigia, following the road to the Koleni to the south, you will find the ruins of ancient Mithymnas, surrounded by olive groves, and the church of Agios Panteleimon, built in a cruciform form with a cylindrical dome and rectangular floor.

200 meters away from the main street of the village and close to the beach in Nopigia is Rizospilios cave, through which passes a river.
