Korfalonas

The coastal village Korfalonas of Chania is between Livadia and Drapania, just five km from Kissamos and 32 km from the city of Chania.

The beach Korfalonas that spreads in front of the homonymous village is a beautiful beach with sand and pebbles. It is the central part of the vast coastline, which starts from Kissamos and ends at Cape Rodopos.

On the beach there are umbrellas, sun beds and showers, while near the coast in the settlement of Korfalonas, you will find rooms for rent, cafes and taverns, where you can enjoy fresh fish and local specialties.

On the beach of the village Korfalonas is located, abandoned and deserted now, the “corpse” of the old olive kernel oil of Hatzis. This is a huge industrial unit, which served many of the needs of oil producers in the region. In the industry was processing the core (which is the kernel of the olive) and this produced olive- pits and soap.
