Limani (Chora Sfakion)

Arriving to Sfakia Center, you will find two beaches that will make you stay there forever! The one, which is also the smaller one, is the Limani (port) of the seaside village. The beach has small pebbles and its waters are crystal clear, while just above it there are taverns where you can taste traditional recipes and fresh fish.

The second beach with the snow-white pebbles, located further west, is called Vrysi. It is bigger and better organized. There you will also find sun loungers and parasols.

The center (Chora) is the village where the municipality of Sfakia is situated. It is located in the south of Crete and it is at 75 kilometers from the city of Chania. Its location is in a very inaccessible and rugged area, surrounded by the steep slopes of the Lefka Ori Mountains and the numerous canyons formed therein.

From its port there are daily ferries to the island of Gavdos and of Agia Roumeli, which is the village where ends the Samaria Gorge, the longest canyon in Greece.
