Votsala or Halikia

To the east of the coastal Paleochora, on the southwest coast of Crete, at a distance of 70 kilometers from Chania, lies the beach Votsala or Halikia, full of large pebbles. Its length is almost one kilometer, it is organized and with crystal clear waters. On the coast you will find umbrellas, sun beds and taverns to eat after diving and sunbathing.

The beach Votsala is located near the road that connects it with Kountoura, the coast near the area with the greenhouses. So you can easily get from the settlement what you need.

If you do not like the pebbles, you can swim on the sandy Pachia Ammos located on the western side of the village. Next to Votsala, there is another beach of Paleochora, Keratides, where you can go for camping.
