Chlomatiana

Chlomatiana (Chlomotiana for the locals) is situated on the narrowest point of the island, between Lake Korission  and Messonghi. The name of the village possibly comes from the pale appearance of the villagers in the past, when the region was ravaged by malaria because of its proximity to the lake. Chlomatiana is a very traditional village, with unique architecture, with houses of Venetian style, usually colored and with beige roof tiles. If you are on high ground, just outside the village, you will enjoy a magnificent view: a village «surrounded» by trees and further away you will see Lake Korission in all its greatness.

Chlomiana also borders with a beautiful village, Vraganiotika  where, it is worthwhile to go for a walk.
