Marathias beach

Marathias beach is a vast, sandy shore, about 5 kilometers long, just in front of the homonymous settlement in the south of the island. In some parts this beach is narrow while in others, it is wider. It is one of the favorite beaches of the locals who prefer it because they can combine swimming with intense entertainment on the beach bars but, they can also isolate themselves from the crowds mainly towards the end of the beach.

Marathias beach is known for its shallow and clean waters and that is why it is awarded with the Blue Flag from the European Union.

In Marathias beach you can rent deck-chairs and parasols. You can also find a great variety of shops on the beach where, you can enjoy your coffee or your drink. It also offers a variety of sea sports.
