Petritis

Petritis is a beautiful, seaside fishing village very close to Lefkimmi  and its port. Petritis was built during the 70s from the inhabitants of Korakades  who were forced to leave their village due to landslides. It is a contemporary village, with well laid-out planning and many tourist facilities for calm, family vacations. Petritis beach  is small and narrow with shallow waters, suitable for small children.

The region where, the village of Petritis is built has a long history. During the Byzantine years it belonged to the ruler of the region, Petritis or Petretinos who granted it to the Palatianos family. From this family, a Byzantine tower has been preserved in the village.

Petritis is famous for its fish taverns but, you will also find many restaurants and bars with a view of the picturesque port of the village. In Petritis there is one of the largest ports where, fishing vessels anchor as well as a small marina for the docking of touristy boats. You will also find a few rentable rooms and hotels for your stay and also mini markets, a butcher shop, a bakery shop, a hair salon and other commercial shops.
