Philharmonic of Kynopiastes
The Philharmonic of Kynopiastes was founded in 1966 by a core of music enthusiasts, residents of the village. The musical band appears in the events of the village and of the surrounding region, since 1969, in the processions of Agios Spyridonas in the city of Corfu and during recent years in many large cities of Greece. The typical color of the costumes of the musicians is dark blue with light red. The Philharmonic of Kynopiastes has about 80 musicians. In its teaching schools, 35 students study while it also has a children’s choir with approximately 50 children, 8-15 years old.
