Lourdata

Lourdhata is a village in the municipal unit of Leivathos, in the municipality of Kefalonia. It is located south of the island and has 170 residents, according to the 2011 census. Continually, it is developing in tourism and in recent years have been constructed in the village and around it hotels and smaller accommodations for visitors. The village is 15 km from the capital of Kefalonia, Argostoli.

Lourdas beach, located in Lourdhata, is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of Kefalonia. It is sandy, with shallow waters, organized and gathers many people. On the beach of Lourdas, are often organized sports tournaments and frantically beach party! Close to Lourdhata, is also located Trapezaki, also a beautiful beach, which worth to visit.

Lourdhata is built in lush vegetation, thanks to the many waters that come down here from the great mountain of Kefalonia, the firs Enos. Close to Lourdhata, you can visit the neighboring villages Vlahata and Simotata.
