Plakaki

Plakaki, is the last and smallest beach near Paleochora , the tourist resort in the southwest of Chania.

The Plakaki beach is about three and a half km west of Paleochora, just before the Grammenou  peninsula and in order to get there you have to go through the Trochalou , Psilos Volakas  and Karavopetra  beaches.

It is a pebbled beach, its waters are crystal clear and cool and it is certain that here you will enjoy swimming and playing in water. Although it is located very close to Paleochora, one of the most popular destinations of Chania, Plakaki beach is not among the organized beaches of the area and you will have yourself to be supplied with everything necessary. However, very close to Plakaki you will find rooms for rent and taverns where you can taste the traditional Cretan cuisine, drink raki and relax.
