Public Bus

By using the public bus in the city of Chania, you will move easily and quickly through the city. The bus service has numerous and frequent itineraries, as it covers a large part of the city, and the local residents use it as the preferred means of transport in their daily life.

The terminals of the Chania public bus are primarily situated at the Market Square and the 1866 Square. From there start all routes to Chania neighborhoods and the surrounding areas that are covered by the public bus network. From 1866 square buses run to Agii Apostoli, Glaros, Kalamaki (Panorama), Daratso and Galata, while from Market Square the public bus goes to the port of Souda, the tombs of the Venizeli and the Technical University of Crete. The terminal for the Hospital of Chania is situated at Zymvrakakidon Street, near the intercity bus.

With the public bus of Chania, the visitors can also reach Perivolia, Kounoupidiana, Nea Chora, Tsikalaria, Mournies and the region of Nerokourou.
