Glyfada

Glyfada is a seaside resort, 18 kilometers from the city  of Corfu, in front of the large homonymous beach  which is one of the most beautiful and the most visited of the island. The settlement of Glyfada is located at the foot of the hill of Pelekas, in a verdant landscape and except from a small number of houses it is full of luxury hotels, villas, restaurants and beach bars.

Glyfada has great, touristy action both Greeks as well as foreigners visit it. Its beach with shallow waters which has been awarded with the Blue Flag is fully organized where, you can also engage in sea sports.

At a distance of 4 kilometers from Glyfada are situated the facilities of the golf course of Corfu and the equestrian club. In the region of Agios Ioannis is located the popular waterpark which offers endless hours of entertainment to the young and the old.

One of the sights worth visiting is the monastery of Panagia Myrtidiotissa. It is built on a beautiful region, below the high cliffs at the edge of the sea. You can also swim in the homonymous beach which is one of the least developed in tourism that attracts nudists on its southern part.
