Gradakia

Gradakia is one of the beaches in Argostoli, located in the cosmopolitan area of Lassi, just next to Makris Gialos and very near to Platis Gialos – the two most famous beaches in central Kefalonia. It is sandy, with fine gray sand, narrow and relatively small. Its waters are shallow, as in the whole region, but clear and lucid. Gradakia is considered an ideal beach for children and gather a crowd because of its easy access by car.

Opposite, the swimmers see Paliki and one of the small islands of Kefalonia, Vardianoi, in the entrance of the bay, with its rich history, from the Greek antiquity. Gradakia is an organized beach with sun beds and sunshades for rent, and a canteen that will offer to you coffee and cold dishes.

To get to Gradakia, you will follow the detour, in the beginning of Lassi. You will first encounter a series of small coves with rocky coast, Kamaroules as they are called, and then Gradakia.

Makris and Platis Gialos, the “neighbors” of the beach with the largest crowd, especially the youth, and because of the beach bars available, and both are more “sprawling” beaches, from the more “familial”, “furled” Gradakia.
