The port of Frikes

Frikes is one of the smallest villages in northern Ithaca. The port of Frikes has a coastal connection with two ports of the neighboring Lefkada – Vasiliki and Nidri.

The port of Frikes is located right next to the beach of the village, with the picturesque taverns and cafes. It also has a mini market that sells cigarettes and other necessities, while the surrounding landscape is lush green. Dominating are the two old mills, one to the left and one to the right of the port – you can visit one of them, as it has an easy access by a short path.

The travelers arriving to the port of Frikes have a wide range of touristic accommodations to choose from, either in the small village, or at the other close-lying villages of northern Ithaca. The road from Frikes leads to the Kourvoulia beaches, three in a row along the road and then to Kioni, the picturesque, traditional village of the island. On the other hand, the road goes to the northern village of Ithaca, Stavros, and to the villages Platrithias and Exogi.

From the capital of Ithaca, Vathi, the port of Frikes is about 20 km.
