Corfu - Natural Attractions

Corfu has a very beautiful and natural environment. The winter rain in combination with the relatively temperate summer and fertile soil of the island create a verdant landscape, from one end to the other, during the entire year. Olive trees are dominant in the Corfiot landscape. Its Olive Grove  includes 3 to 6 million olive trees, some of which are more than 400 years old!

A large part of the region has been declared preserved based on international treaties and has been included in special protection programs because of its importance for life on the planet. A region of rare, natural beauty is Erimitis, a completely virgin area, with dense vegetation, lakes and enchanting, secluded beaches.
